A Child Without Parents
  By Pooja Risal

A child without parents is like
  a flower without fragrance,
  a river without fish,
  or a field without fence,
  incomplete in every sense.

Never before had it crossed my mind,
That my parents are my pride
  with them, for small things,
I used to always quarrel and fight
For no reason I made the cry day & night
Where the word love never collide.

  But one day
I saw a boy, an innocent boy
sitting on a pile of garbage
with no work at this young age
  Harassed and depressed

In his hand I saw a piece of paper
curious to know what  it was
near the boy, I went and sat
A picture of a mother, father and a child
he was looking at for a very long time

I asked the boy of his parents
he said that they are in heaven
I asked the boy about his home
there was a quiver in his tone
Then started the boy crying loudly
hearing his cry the sky became cloudy
seeing the drops of falling rain
cried more the boy in excruciating pain

For the boy, had no parent's support
the support that he could hold
no kind body in his life he met
all alone in this earthy bed

Seeing the plight of the child
I realised the value of my parents
they are the keys of my life
who, never could be so wild

I am so lucky to have them
In whom, I can confide my secrets,
with whom I can share my warm love
Who never let me see the darken side
And, always stood beside me in every side of life.
