Yesterday!
By Umang Bagaria
Times come, when we depart
In solitude, we cry our part
Yesterday seemed decade
The love we had had to fade
When needed, I was betrayed
By my tears, for I had shed
Nothing but before yours.
The nights we spent
In sheer silence
Looking at the gracious moon
Didn't know that another lover, going to be doomed
The ghostly maidens
I felt, come down from heaven
The black spot that was
Reminding me of a human character
I, who was blinded by love
Felt like a man, later understanding
The loosing of my head - searched for a white dove.
Yesterday, tomorrow seemed so far away,
While the scriptures say, the greatest distance is yesterday,
And I waited for yesterday to fade away,
Waiting for time to begin from the beginning
But later I learnt that past never leaves a man
I signed an agreement with my past
And started feeling proud on my part
While HISTORY repeated itself ..........
